"Beautiful place with a lot character and charming. Massive rooms and comfortable bed. Mayfar room had a gorgeous view on the valley. Fresh breakfast, kidly and attentive stuff. We will go back"

"We booked this room while attending a black-tie event, so we had high expectations given the price. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. The room itself was quite small, especially compared to the unusually large bathroom. When I went to take a shower, the water was only lukewarm, which was frustrating. Getting ready for the event was also inconvenient—there was no mirror near the desk/dressing table and no full-length mirror in the room. The only mirror was in the bathroom, which wasn’t practical while my partner was using it. This made preparing for a formal event much more difficult than it should have been. Additionally, the room felt very stuffy. Opening the window helped with ventilation, but it let in a lot of noise from an external fan, making it hard to relax. Overall, the room did not meet expectations for the price we paid."

"The room and communal areas were very clean, the room was beautiful. A few disappointments, we had no instant coffee in the room only coffee pods with no machine, our chosen breakfast wasn’t available and there was some miscommunication with the menu items, and the shower was very slow draining "

"Parking easy and reception staff good. Corridors need serious upgrades as uncarpeted and bare. Room was cold and very poorly lit. Curtain looked like a wartime throwback. No real facilities and even the kettle had to be moved to a bedside table to plug in. Very uninviting and I am pleased that on this occasion I was on my own. Would have been good value at half the price (comparable then to teh travel lodge round the corner) "

"Sadly it was very tired, carpets and trims all very worn. Room was via a warren of nearly 30 miles of hallways. Not even sure if I stayed in the hotel. "
