"We really enjoyed our stay at this Ryokan. I was pleasantly surprised at how calming and soothing it was. We used the public bath which was incredible. Our view outside our place was gorgeous mountains overlooking parts of the town. There was a slight odor in the bathroom of musk but it didn’t affect us too much. Everything else was very clean. Beds were comfortable. They offered free shuttles to the bus stations which we were overjoyed to have since the local transit system is sometimes unreliable. The location was just next to the folk village and a bus stop. Overall I’d say this place exceeded our expectations."

"Excellent hotel! Large, clean room with an extremely comfortable bed. Water pressure in the shower is fabulous — super strong. Also, the quality of the water (it feels super soft) is the best I have ever experienced. Location of the hotel is perfect."

"Room was clean and staffs was friendly, they offer access to the onsen of another hotel (10 minutes walk) which belongs to the same group. Very near Takayama station and walkable to the morning market and the old town district. The only problem is with their air ventilation system, we constantly smell smoke in the room which coming off from the air vent, we have to open the door to let fresh air come in the whole night. "
