"My husband really liked this hotel because it was quite spacious in the room and the bathroom and there was a laundry facility across the street and we badly needed to do a wash halfway through our Scotland Ireland two week trip. I thought the hotel was fine but nothing special and while the room seemed clean the carpets were worn and stained in some spots. "We had the pleasure of staying with Marion & Moray recently. We survived the applecross pass drive! The complementary wee dram was very welcome after the drive & fighting the midges while watching the sunset at the beach. We were in a top floor room. Chatted with Marion & Moray that evening & over the full breakfast offering, talked about Applecross & some culture, events & travel tips which we were useful and gladly adopted! "We enjoyed the Cawdor House. Absolutely lovely. It was my 60th birthday and Manuela went above and beyond helping my husband plan a wonderful stay. Beautiful flowers and mimosas for my birthday breakfast. She and her staff made our stay so comfortable and special. The rooms and dining room were beautiful. Delicious breakfast!!"

The hotel wasn't signposted, so had to phone the number provided, where we were told to visit another hotel reception, where we be provided with our key and directed to our own hotel. While the room itself was relatively clean, there was no hot water either via the shower or sink. The TV only allowed you to caste via your phone."
