"We have stayed here for the 3rd time. It is a very relaxed place & a great stopover on our way to the Plymouth ferry to Spain. The bedroom was very spacious with a great en suite featuring a walk in shower. Our dinner in the restaurant was very good with generous portions. Breakfast the following morning was delicious, with a great choice. The staff were very friendly . We will definitely be returning for a fourth visit"

"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Lorne House. Our room was luxurious, and the bedding was unbelievably comfortable. The thoughtful touches included an assortment of teas and coffees (including decaf), regular and oat milk, plus biscuits right in our room, made it feel extra special. The full breakfast is absolutely incredible, and able to skip lunch, only needed dinner each day. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable, with a lovely living room/common area and an inviting outdoor...

"The highlight was the breakfast which could be improved a light further by lowering the volume of the background music to be less intrusive, removal of cobwebs and the staff being quieter when clearing and setting tables. The room was good, quiet and warm though the bathroom would have benefited from a shelf for toiletries. The room we were in had no windows, which probably kept the sounds levels down, and was at the top of two flights of stairs. The property is within easy reach of Bath...

"A lovely building overlooking Bath. A nice walk down hill to the centre. Beautiful views from our room number 6. Very helpful friendly staff. Very nice tasty breakfast. I would recommend. Lovely quirky deco."

"This place wasn’t what we hoped for so we didn’t stay. The room was not as big as it seemed on photos, no room to put our suitcases out. Room was dated and doors opened out onto parking lot. Very dark, no lights outside and muddy from a water main break. To make matters worse, a policeman knocked on door to say there had been an armed robbery nearby and offender was seen nearby. Very scary and unnerving. We decided we couldn’t stay and found another hotel. Swan House were not willing to refund....

" Very nice stay. Parking was difficult but on site. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Big climb with heavy luggage. Room was small but clean. Bed was a double. Small for 2 but comfortable enough. Breakfast was very good."

"Kaycee (unsure of spelling) was very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful, worth having, and the fresh fruit was beautiful. Nice atmosphere, though the lovely classical music was cut off mid breakfast twice. Maybe after breakfast would be better time to change the music. Access to the room with the terrace was terrible; I suggest leading people across the lawn instead of past the untidy wood pile and down the rustic but uneven steps. Or through the back gate on the road instead,...
