"First stayed at this hotel over 20years ago. As was the case then location is still beautiful over looking Hilo bay and next to magnificent gardens. Dined in the cafe on Saturday and Sunday nights as the restaurant only offered a rather expensive buffet. Hotel is showing its age in some respects but is still a nice place to stay. "

"We were in town for the Merrie Monarch Hula Festival and The Grand Naniloa was a terrific hotel to stay in for the festival. Very convenient location in Hilo. Staff was friendly and the valet was super fast and they were working in overdrive for the festival. Lively hotel bar and nice markets. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, just looked like some of the wood work in the room was unbecoming. Beds were comfortable. My only and biggest complaint is that the hotel blocked the...
