Khách sạn Hirayu Onsen

"A lovely, quiet inn with spacious, clean rooms in a super convenient location near bus stations and shops. A couple of unique highlights: you swap your shoes for indoor footwear at the entrance, and they only have three family onsens (two indoor, one outdoor) on a first-come, first-served basis. You have to wait outside if the onsen is occupied by another family. Overall, a very happy and enjoyable stay!""

"Nice authentic Onsen, the meals were high quality and very authentic. The establishment would need a lift up but it was clean, large room with excellent meals."

"Amazing ryoken with private onsens, combination of totally new amenities with traditional style. wonderfully attentive staff and superb dinner !Been in a few ryokens before and this one surpass all."

"Der beste Spabereich, super Massagestühle!"

"If you want a traditional Japanese experience and get away from the main towns, then this hotel is for you. Yes, you can take the Western rooms, but the Japanese rooms will give you a better local vibe. If you take the breakfast and dinner option, then be prepared not to eat anything else. They supply yukata's and belts and you'll feel more comfortable being in traditional garb. It's a slog out and back to Matsumoto, so just make that a one-off day trip. Hirayu is much closer (15-mins) now the...
