"The hotel has always been wonderful. Unfortunately this time my wife became ill and we were unable to go to the Nailers game and didn’t need the hotel. We were unable to cancel in time to get a refund. I would think that they could give us a credit for the next trip instead of losing the entire cost of the room."

"This hotel was understaffed. Our room was not ready until 2 hrs after check-in. The room was clean, but small. The pillows were small and requested 2 additional. The breakfast was sad. But when we booked Expedia showed that allowed cats and dogs and this Windgate is Steubenville OH did take cats in Dec 2025 when we stayed there. but I called the day prior to our reservation, and they said they did not take cats since things have changed. "On Expedia, this property is listed as No pets allowed, which is why we chose it. I have allergies and need a no pet location. While there, we saw several dogs in the hotel. Their actual website says pets allowed. Expedia has the wrong information!!!"
