"I had known this place from childhood and I was so happy to see all the work that was out into keeping a lot of the original details. This is a gem with an amazingly beautiful view of the Marina/ bay and gardens. I was extremely satisfied with all of it and hope to be back someday. Wish the French doors opened to the balcony, but nonetheless it’s very well done. Congratulations 👏 "

"We stayed one night at Pousada Forte de Horta and absolutely loved it. The hotel is full of character with a unique historical charm — you really feel like you’re stepping into a piece of Azorean history. The location is unbeatable, right inside a fortress overlooking the marina, with a breathtaking view of Pico Island across the water. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere peaceful. Wish we had more time here!"
