"The Fujiya reeks of history and elegance. The rooms are very spacious. The ambiance is sublime. We are so pleased we stayed at this hotel. The staff and quality of service was excellent. The sauna and spa facilities were 1st class. A couple of minor issues - the beds were a touch on the firm side. And the range of choice for breakfast was limited. However, in every other respect, the Fujiya will be a highlight of our time in Japan."

"Very old traditional Ryokan. Beautiful garden/riverside views. We did not realize that there are no private baths - that was a big surprise but we were only there one night so it wasn't that problematic. Staff were very accommodating and Google Translate made communication very easy."

"Spacious rooms with onsen tub on deck that is incredible. Loved the supplied clothing and the atmosphere that created. Room was well equipped and very comfortable. The buffet restaurant was amazing and even better when not busy. Staff was very helpful and a short fully indoors walk to family mart was very convenient. The complimentary ice cream was a nice touch. Would absolutely return. Incredible views from rooms and the garden is spectacular. "

We really enjoyed the forest private bath, and if we’d stayed longer we would have also tried the mountain view bath. We found that the meals offered plenty of food - bordering on too much for us. We would have liked the option to pick what we wanted to eat from the days menu rather than take every dish. "

"The stay at Couscous was absolutely spot on! Beautiful glamping resort in the quiet town of Manazuru. It has good connection links to the main station if odawara. Perfect for exploring the Hakone region of Japan. The tents were very well equipt with fans, heating, usb's. Outside there was incredible decking areas with BBQs, and a large table and chairs. The site itself was extremely clean and the toilet and shower areas were always spotless and very modern. Overall I would 100% recommend this...

"Property was very comfortable. It's close to some onsens and public transport. The house is old and there are some damages, but other than that there were very little issues."
