"Clean room had elevator"

"Old food from previous guest was left in room fridge, but they took it away quickly when notified. Hot tub jets were weak, but temperature was nice. Our room was downstairs near the outside door...noisy door, noisy upstairs guests (i.e. kids jumping off of furniture)."

Parking was a breeze, never had much use for the air conditioning. Our bathroom was bigger than expected. The water from daily showers didn't completely drain but, that did not pose any kind of problem regarding mildew or odor. "

"Staff was friendly and helpful, pace was fully renovated one year ago. Nicely done as well. All brand new furniture and fresh paint, new bathrooms. Very nice stay and served our travel purposes well. Thoughtful amenities like coffee and tissues were in the room. Highly recommend this property; I’d like to see these people succeed. They are even building a restaurant! Not open yet but really a gem to find in a world of chains!! Bravo!!"

"I had a fantastic stay at the Best Western Plus Humboldt Bay Inn! The breakfast options were excellent with a nice variety that really started the day off right. "The inn keeper was very nice and even upgraded our room free of charge to the corner room with a view of the town. The building is a beautifully upkept, literally Victorian style inn on the main strip of Ferndale; only 15 minutes from downtown Eureka. The dining room and bar have a homely feel with the large fireplace and friendly staff. Each room at the inn is unique in its own right and theme. I was surprised at how tall the ceilings are because usually older buildings have lower ceilings, but...

"I love Red Lion Hotel. I feel safe, welcomed, i like everything about it today the only thing i didn't like was that the card(key) wasn't really working, the ice maker wasn't working on my floor so had to go the the other floor and it still didn't work. So went to the lobby to get ice. But overall i like it 10/10 family welcomed. "

"I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Check-in was smooth and the male employee who checked us in was kind and even gave us great food recommendations. The room itself was fine for a quick overnight stop after hiking in the Redwoods on our drive to LA for work. Unfortunately, our experience completely changed the next morning. While preparing to check out, we discovered our bags were soaked with water, including our laptop bag and clothing bags, resulting in damage to our laptops and belongings....

"Everything was great except that we paid a premier price, over $300 for a Friday night stay. Quite excessive for this type of motel. It felt like we were being taken advantage of, and that's never good. Maybe this post will raise some attention regarding the excessive rate we paid. Not worth it for this type of establishment. Half that price would have been about right foe this place!"
