The guy said well these people haven't shown up that have reservations, so I'll give you this room, we had a suite. Next thing we know three more people showed up so we think they got our room because then we were stuck with a handicap room for 5 days. "Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."

"This hotel had all the amenities advertised, available and in good order. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. There was lots of choice for breakfast from cereal and toast, cooked eggs and bacon to make your own mini waffles. Coffee was great. The town of Eureka was great and the Friday Night Street Market had good entertainment as well as a choice of local produce stalls. Only wish we were staying another night."

"Easy access, comfortable beds, clean rooms. WiFi was not good. Coffee in the breakfast area was pretty bad. We didn't eat the breakfast so I can't rate it. We did use the pool, (cold water) and hot tub. Enjoyed them."

"Hampton Inn is ALWAYS the best place to stay!! The breakfast is great, better than a roll and lukewarm coffee that you get most other places that offer "breakfast". "No "real" person at the front desk for check-in. The virtual attendant had a microphone that kept cutting out and it took three of us to figure out what she was saying and instructing us to do. There did not appear to be any staff on site and it did not feel safe. Extra flooring planks were left in the hallway with caution tape wrapped around them. "Nice historic building in the center of town. Very nicely maintained and the staff are quiet but friendly enough. The back of the hotel can get noisy with nightly alley mini parties. Our bed was basically U-shaped and we struggled to not roll into the middle of the bed. That was our only complaint. Parking is excellent and there’s a very good sushi restaurant in the lobby. There’s also a good number of places to eat around the plaza and in the surrounding neighborhoods."
