"We’ve stayed here several times while visiting Kirksville. The pool has been “out of order” with the door to the outside propped open (even in the middle of winter) every single stay until this one, when it was open for about two hours in the evening. The water was so cold we couldn’t stand to be in it, but somehow still enough humidity in the room that the ceiling was literally dripping. The rooms are great, clean, comfortable. But the noise level from the hallways and rooms above/below is bad, and the free breakfast offered is nothing special. For the price, I at least want the amenities I paid for."
"Great price for a clean room and free hot breakfast! Property is older and a little janky (our toilet paper holder was coming loose from the wall, raw edges on the newly installed vanity/sink, VERY LOUD heat/AC unit as others have mentioned), BUT the room was clean, staff was incredibly helpful, clean and comfortable bed/pillows, and free breakfast in the morning. We’ve stayed at more expensive hotels in Kirksville at least a dozen times and have regularly been disappointed in lack of amenities, unimpressive breakfast options, and crappy staff. Super 8 is economical and convenient, staff is wonderful, and it will absolutely be our first choice every time we visit Kirksville. "
"The room was clean. There is a railroad across the street so the trains all night were kind of annoying but I bet the rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.
Breakfast was lacking but the room was cheap and you get what you pay for. There is a Casey’s next door."
"Rude staff, booked a room, the games got switched to a day earlier, staff would not move the reservation up one day. It was booked <12hours. Very uncooperative. Would not recommend."
"This actually shows a 8.2 which is more like a 2.8 it says continual breakfast and there is none!! It is a pass through room and both doors had gaps around them you could actually see outside. Stains above both beds no cover on exhaust fan in bathroom and did not work had a Walmart bag stuffed in the vent, smoke detector had not battery and door was broke on it. Had a nice frig but no way to plug it into a three pin outlet unless you took it to the bathroom. Heating/A/C unit was green with mold. With all that said the room and bed was clean but cold as crap especially when it got -7 outside. Paid for three nights could not handle the room did not even stay the last night in fear of freezing to death. Save yourself a headache and go some where else!!!"
"This older motel is badly in need of a complete renovation. The facilities were barely adequate with the shower, toilet and bathroom door needing service and repair. The staff was attentive, and the breakfast was very good. My favorite part was the warm baked goods with which we were treated daily! "
