"Close to downtown and walkable. Adequate for what I needed. Bed was very uncomfortable, TV remote did not work, shower curtain smelled bad, floors were dirty when I got in. I paid extra to check in early and tried to access the room at 2 (regular check in at 3). I called when the code didnt work and they told me they couldn't verify that I paid for early access but the money had already come out of my account. They wanted me to get all the documents and send it to them so they could review it...

"The Swan House is in a good area for accessing everything in Reykjavik. The apartment and neighborhood were quiet and the host was so helpful with prompt responses to emails. Lots of pubs and good places to eat within a few blocks. Convenience stores were also fairly close."

"Very nice and clean apartment. Thanks to prior reviews that had us look for the "tunnel" near the Asian (noodle) restaurant that allowed us to look for the semi-tunnel to get to the apartment. We arrived 1.5 hours prior to check-in with luggage in-tow and we were able to QR a chat with the folks that managed the apt. and were able to get our code to work to check in early and drop our luggage. Can't say that this will hold exactly for every other traveler; but they were nice and accommodating...
