"The hotel itself was really good. It was in the city center, within walking distance of most landmarks, and if not, there was really good public transport. The hotel was clean. The view from the window was amazing (I guess it depends on the side of the room, but ours was perfect), and it was really quiet despite a lot of guests. The staff was really nice and helpful. Breakfast could have been a little bit better for a 4-star hotel, but really, I can't complain. Despite limited variety, it was good and tasty. The mattress was a little bit hard for me, but I understand all people have different preferences, so you can't please everyone. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay."

"Got to be honest, I booked this hotel after seeing the photo of their cakes... they did not disappoint! But it proved an inspired choice... a real gem of a hotel. Perfectly located for shopping and bus stop 9 for tours. Lovely hotel... great breakfast and really good restaurant with excellent food. Room a little small but not an issue as we spent so little time in it. Clean with good facilities. Excellent value for money."

"Have stayed at the Aurora 3 or 4 times as it’s so easy to get to/from the airport for an early flight or connection. Loved the new refurbished room and bathroom during my latest stay. Very clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. The new bathroom needs hooks for clothes/towels and a bath towel for the floor as it gets wet when showering, but other than that everything was great. "

"Amazing hotel with outstanding views of the Mountains and ocean. They also had my favorite breakfast while in Iceland and I visited over 5 hotels. Beautiful rooms and bathroom. The dining area was also extremely beautiful with high quality food. "

"Probably the best hotel I been too in Iceland and I booked over 5 hotels during my trip. Absolutely amazing hotel and next to a waterfall. We also sat down in the bar and had a drink. The bar/lounge area was so cozy. Rooms were clean and food/breakfast was amazing with very kind staff. I will def be booking this again when I’m in Iceland. "

"Fantastic location, unexpectedly large room, very clean, modernized bathroom, amenities available downstairs 24/7. Two extremely minor nitpicks: * The church next door rings bells frequently. The sound isolation in our room was ok, but we still heard them at night. Hotel did provide earplugs. * The TV was small and pretty barebones - only live TV and a "pay per view" app. You can connect other devices with an HDMI cable, but it's not as nice as being able to sign in to your own streaming apps."
