"Room smelled heavily of urine. Couldn’t switch my room, they were fully booked. The two nearest hotels were fully booked as well, it was 11:30pm so I didn’t bother trying to book downtown. It really sucked paying over $300 to sleep in a room that smelled like that. The guy at the front desk was helpful though, he let me bring a bottle of Lysol back to the room to spray it down a few times before bed. "There is absolutely nothing unique about this property whatsoever. There is no in-room coffee maker, no continental breakfast, very RARELY is the front desk staffed, the window coverings in the rooms are in dire need of replacing, housekeeping is by request only and then only if the message gets passed on. The only upside to the Baranof Lodge is that it is easy walking distance to downtown, the shops and restaurants. Oh, and the airport shuttle is appreciated. We paid a hefty amount for a...

"Missing blinds on the window coverings. Hole in the bedroom door. Room did not appear to have been cleaned well. Front desk could not find our reservation and when he did told us our room was on the second floor inside. Had to return to the front desk to find out it was outside on the first floor. Paid for a room with two beds. Received a room with one queen bed. Entire property needs a face lift. Expect more for $350 per night."
