"Fairly convenient. But felt like I was staying at someone's home rather than a guest house if that makes sense - No signage out front or anything to identify it as a guest house. Mary was feiendly, front of house very clean. Bathroom looked amazing, but shower ran between scorching hot and freezing cold, very difficult to shower in.
Please buy new towels...the ones in the room once wet smelt terrible. I couldn't use them and had to put them in the closet overnight because the smell was...

"Rom was lovely and large. Staff that checked us in were great. Bar/restaurant staff a little less so. Wouldn't let us sit at a table to have a drink and think about ordering. Insisted we sit at the bar. I gave a sore knee and couldn't. So we had to sit outside. It's covered and warm but all the smokers go outside and that was yucky"

"Very quaint old building turned into a "hotel", off the beaten path, Very quiet. Cute reading nook off the bedroom overlooking the gardens. Very helpful staff, very nice entrance/bar/restaurant area. Unfortunately, they have a hard time getting staff. Poor morning breakfast lady was all by herself trying to make us all breakfasts. (And probably affects corners not getting cleaned of spiders)"

"Centrally situated for Donegal town and good parking at hotel. Room in need of a total revamp, huge room but tiny cabinets. Tv is out of date and not up to standard. Bathroom is badly planned with no room to place any equipment. Shower is poor and bathroom has a bad damp smell.
A little attention to detail, updating and cleaning could bring this hotel to the standard expected."

"Depending on how much you pay, this is a good place to stay if looking for somewhere near Donegal Town with parking facility. As a guest house it mainly has classic decor/furniture style and although it feels homely, maintenance needs were evident. Security is relatively basic for a quiet location out of town, particularly room doors operated by key alone. Breakfast service is good as were the staff helpful and welcoming."
