"This is possibly the most charming hotels and place I can remember staying. It’s an old building in a harsh Scottish environment and that is part of its charm. If you want pristine decoration it’s not for you. If you want excellent hospitality, fantastic staff and walls full of the owner’s original art, go. Walk the Crinan trail - the view from the viewpoint is one of the best on a clear day (it is a steep walk though). A genuine Scottish gem."

"Gracious hosts, incredibly comfortable room and charming place, especially decked out for Christmas. Parking was easy (and free) and this was helpful as we had a rental car. Once there, we were able to walk everywhere in Oban we wanted to go. Highly recommend staying here! "

"We arrived in the middle of a storm Amy related power cut which had affected the whole region. The owners could not be more helpful and pulled out all the stops to get us an evening meal. A really nice place to stay. We took the scenic way there along the loch and the quick way to get back to the A82 - the Corran vehicle ferry runs every half an hour (or quicker) and takes 5 minutes to cross the loch. "
