"Excellent value. Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). "A very nice stay overall. Towels at the pool-site would be helpful; instead we needed to take them from our room. Having chairs for the beach would be nice for those of us who have a rather difficult time getting up off the sand. Food at the "24" restaurant is quite good but the service is just so-so. Still, a very good hotel in a beautiful place!"

"This hotel was mediocre at best. The tv was facing the left side of the room and could not be turned toward the bed so you could actually see it. When watching from the bed you could not read subtitles because of the angle of the tv in relation to the bed. You could sit on the sofa and watch. The air conditioner was dreadful. It never got below 70 and the room was stuffy. I finally asked for a box fan and they gave it to me. We paid a lot for the room and would have expected more of a luxury...

"The Village Inn & Pub was perfect for our getaway. Located walking distance to great restaurants and the pier. But the best part was the hotel, our room was beautiful, pool area was a delight to sit out in the evenings and enjoy the beautiful plants. The icing on the cake was the pub, great staff and had karaoke the last night there. We will be back."

"Perfect hotel close to the St. Simons "action." Nice complimentary breakfast that was not over or under whelming. They had cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, cold "egg bites," grits/assorted instant oatmeal varieties, english muffins, variety of bagel flavors, cinnamin raisin toast, juice, milk, ect. They spoke highly of their amazing coffee machine, which was awesome. It made coffee, hot chocolate, cafe au lait, and all kind of different mixtures of the previously mentioned. "Lots of space! A/C works great! Only one bath for a room that sleeps 4-5 but the character of the place keeps it charming and makes up for that. Perfect location!"

"Nice place but the room is very dated. The beach access at the pool has been removed so you have to go all the way around the hotel to access the beach. The beach bar has been closed due to renovations that have not even started. You can still get food and drinks you just have to wait for someone to come around and ask you. There is multiple pools so I think one should be designated for adults only. All that isn't bad but for over $500 per night we expected a lot more!"
