I was traveling with a friend on this trip however, I will return with my spouse later this year and get a canal suite.The views from the lounge area are are amazing. "This place is an absolute jewel! We stayed here for 4 nights and it was our base to travel around. We had 2 larger rooms that were connected and it was well worth it! Luxurious rooms, impeccably clean and beautifully appointed! The location is central to everything and Sofi our hostess was crème de la crème! She is kind, welcoming, warm, caring and makes the best breakfasts! We LOVED this place and you will not be disappointed! 😎👏👏👏"

"Astrid was an excellent host, and breakfast was tasty. The property is centuries old and still had original wood in our room. The city is beautiful and walkable from this property. We stayed two nights and wish we would have booked more. We recommend this property. Thanks for having us!"

"From the moment we entered, the service was amazing. The staff bent over backwards to assist. Gave us a map, booked us a taxi , etc. the rooms were modern and emaculate. Beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel was in the center of the historic district and easy to get to all the sites we wanted to experience"

"7 stars and above and beyond perfection! The place is beyond perfection in all respects. The location is perfect, the hosts (Peter and Aniya) are extremely nice people. The breakfast feels like you are on honeymoon, the ambience is so exquisite. I will rate it 7 out of 5 stars because 5 out of 5 stars is not enough."

"Wonderful location. The dining area looked out directly on to beautiful square. Staff were delightful and always helpful. Breakfast offered a fabulous choice of great food. Bedroom was well appointed. Lots of wardrobe space, well soundproofed room with very comfortable bed and bathroom was clean, modern with a good shower and toiletries were supplied. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bruges."

"We really enjoyed our stay at huis ‘t shaep, everything was impeccable, the owners were very welcoming and helpful with suggestions about what to see and where to eat. The Breakfast was so beautifully prepared and delicious. We highly recommend this hotel for personal service, cleanliness, history and location."

"An exceptional room, stunningly beautiful, well furnished and very comfortable. The host met us on arrival and explained everything. We didn’t want leave . It’s a nice walk to the Centre or there is a bus if preferred. We would have loved to use the bar and restaurant but unfortunately as a mid week stay these were not open"

"Das Hotel liegt super zentral. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es ist ruhig im Hotel. Das Frühstück ist einfach gehalten, aber ausreichend. Der Spa Bereich ist klein aber ok. Das Wasser im Pool sehr frisch. Die beschriebenen 28,5 Grad, erreicht es bei weitem nicht. Nachts hat es ständig geknarrst, nach andauernder Recherche, war es die Badtüre, die im Wechsel von Abluft und Klimaanlage bewegt worden ist."

"Property is in great location 10-15 walk from main areas on a canal. It's a great walk into town to see some neighborhoods you otherwise wouldn't. The breakfast was great, staff very helpful and attentive. Room was by far the largest we had on entire Belgian/Netherlands trip. Highly recommend this property."
