"Stay was good, but the charges were a mess! "

"We have been now three times and love the proximity to the beach and the access. They accommodate you so well since we are IHG members. We have nothing bad to say about them at all but if I had to say less than 5 stars on something it would just be maintenance. The maintenance guy/gal should definitely paint some areas in our room with the same sheen (there were paint marks with different sheens so they were noticeable). Overall we LOVE THE PLACE and it will be a staple for us every year!"

"The pool and grounds were very nice, staff were excellent, rooms were clean but lacking some amenities. another issue we had was check in was 4:00pm, we arrived at 4:30pm and still waited over 2 hours to get a room. The manager did compensate us accordingly. The college spring breakers were well policed but the night pool party music was extremely loud. "

"The hotel and room itself was good. There was no issues with our room or the location however, we showed up and immediately was told we needed wristbands for safety concerns. No biggie, we figured it was common at large resorts. What is ridiculous, is these wristbands costed $25 and were only needed for anyone between 10 and 32 years old. What was even more annoying was if we wanted to use credit card to pay for these wristbands it would actually be closer to $30 or $35 - none of this was listed in the booking. Then after we paid $125 for our 5 wrist bands (in cash) we were told we could only have 1 parking pass and the other car would have to be in public parking which is halfway down the island. We asked if we could pay for another pass and they said no. - once again. This was not mentioned in the listing. Another annoyance of the stay was our towel situation. We had 5 adults in the room, and are staying at a place with a beach, and 3 pools. I figured the place would have some sort of beach/pool towels… nope. So when asked if we could have additional towels to take to the beach we were told our room did not qualify to get more towels because we had a washer/dryer in the room. WHAT. That makes no sense, I understand that there is a washer dryer and it would be convenient for the hotel but come on. We would need to take our sandy towels back to our room, run an hour cycle (at least) and then once the clean towels are done, then take a shower. That’s just ridiculous. "

"Roaches, cockroaches, infested the room we stayed in. The 1st issue was when we arrived we noticed a putrid smell. There was an air purifier in the kitchen area. We assumed the smell was because the island had a bad storm in the weeks prior to our visit and the island had flooded. We arrived late the 1st day and barely spent any time in the room. The next day during sunny hours we started to notice bugs in the kitchen but it wasn't until that night we realized they were roaches. The later it got the more they were infesting the room. That night I stayed up all night taking photos and videos. The next day I called the property owner and no answer so I called Expedia. Expedia made the calls for us and I was refunded all of our money except for the 1st night. No apologies from the property owner. Worst experience we ever had at a rental. "

"Property was older but nice. Some things remodeled but others aging or broken. Worked well for our needs. Pool was nice. Beach would have been very nice except for weather and rough waters. Access to the beach was great."
