"The staff is very nice and accommodating. From the front desk, breakfast and housekeeping was nice. I rated low on maintenance and cleanliness due to my experiences. This is my second time here and it is fairly new and appears clean but both times I’ve stayed here the shower wasn’t clean properly, hair on the floor of the shower. Which is disgusting and concerns me if everything is sanitized and cleaned properly. Next was the inconvenience one of the elevators stopped working. Which was scary...

"The room was very nice size and the beds were comfortable, perfect for our family of 4. The pool was warm and kids had fun. The conference rooms were very messy for the end of the day, but it was a busy weekend so probably the staff couldn’t keep up. As well there was no common space we could share a pizza with our small company of friends, so we had to use our friend’s room. The elevators were surprisingly slow and we chose to just use stairs most of the time."

"Starlight is a small, simple hotel in the busy downtown of Flushing. The room was small and simple. Just enough room for two full beds and a TV. During the day there is a lot of street noise you can hear in the room, but at night it was peaceful and quiet. The enclosed rooftop area was a nice touch. We waited up there and had a cup of tea while they finished getting our room ready. Altogether it was a good experience."

"The hotel is an older property, but it was adequate for a brief two-night stay. During my visit, my room door had an issue, though the staff was actively attempting to resolve it. It did appear they might have been a bit short-staffed at the time. The highlight of the location is its proximity to a good local stake house, bagel shop, and an Italian restaurant, where I enjoyed some decent sandwiches. If you are traveling on a strict budget and simply need a basic place to rest, this property...
