Quality Inn and Conference Center I-80 Grand Island
10/10 Excellent
"We went out to Iowa to attend our daughter's baby shower and spend time with the grandbabies. I booked through Expedia. When I was checking in the gentleman asked if we needed an accessible shower. I said no we needed a room with a bathtub so he made sure we got one. He was very friendly and accommodating. I bugged him several times for things like paper plates and extra towels. The baby shower had a scheduling mix up so 2 hours before it began, he rented me the conference room and cleaned it up quick for us. I was finishing up a very large diaper cake in the room and when I was done, the cleaning staff who were down the hall were nice enough to run over and vacuum for me quickly. They even made sure we had enough towels and took the trash on top of that. Thanks to the considerate and quick staff, the baby shower was a beautiful event.
We spent part of every day in the pool with the family. As with most indoor pools, it was a little loud in the swim area but that was ok. We had 3 grandbabies there too. We were going between the pool, which wasn't really heated but it wasn't cold either. And the hot tub was perfect. No bubble jets but it was still warm and very relaxing.
One night the room above was extremely loud. Sounded like furniture being dropped and doors slamming. I have never made a noise complaint before in my life. Unfortunately I had to that night. The gentleman at the desk took care of the situation for us and it was a much better night. "
"I stay at hotels 2-3 nights a week, in various towns some places are ok and some are not. I will definitely be staying there again if the need arises."
"Our room was clean but very outdated. The property was not very busy so it would have been nice to be in an updated room. Breakfast was generally okay, except for the paltry and unappetizing fruit options: canned pineapple, canned peaches, bananas and red delicious apples.
Housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was ‘meh’. Our food took a long time,
then it was the wrong order, waited longer and the sides were cold. The overall quality of the food was not great.
Pool was a bright spot, and although we didn’t use it it’s fun to have ping pong available."
