"Exceptional hotel, great to stay, great meal and great front desk service. Staff are very friendly and eager to assist. Will return to stay for sure!"
"Food is horrible. Not fresh, canned food, moist and old rice, worst meals I had in Japan. Service is really bad as well. Typical tourist trap, not worth the money. Been to cheaper yet much better ryokan with fantastic food and service, but this place I needed to keep drinking sake to compensate on how awful the food is. "
"The room is spacious and offers a beautiful view of the lake. The customer service is attentive and thoughtful. As for the meals, there is an impressive variety of dishes, most of which are delicious—especially the botan shrimp, yellowtail, and the steamed egg custard with nodoguro. In addition, the breakfast exceeded my expectations and was the best I’ve had across my past ten ryokan stays. You can tell the differences through their careful selections of food ingredients. Excellent "
"Helpful staff, a lovely room, excellent food and beautiful surroundings made our stay a highlight of our visit to Japan. Highly recommended for people who enjoy stays in quieter villages. We will return."
"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area.
