Great place to stay, very homely, John is the best he kept me updated with near events and fruits around the complex. I recommend taking advantage of the aloha at a affordable rate with an ocean view. Think minimal & simple.

I have no complaints with the property. It was nice and quiet, just what I was looking for. This is house up in the foothills with a nice view. No AC but never needed it in June. Fan's were plenty and I still slept under the comforter. You get what you pay for. At 1/3 the cost of the hotel don't expect much. This is an expensive destination, this guesthouse is a great value. Room was clean and perfectly functional. Would stay again.

The view was amazing!!! The owner was very helpful in providing his service and knowledge of your Island needs. The property was cluttered with broken down cars and random other junk. The parking spaces were minimal and at times not enough. Multiple times I had to move my car to let another guest out of the property. The room that I rented had everything you needed to live in. And a bunch of unsightly old clutter that was not needed.

Within 2 min. of arriving we decided not to stay

This "hotel" should not even be listed on Expedia. This is someone's house. There is a broken down, abandoned vehicle on the front yard. There is no front desk. The attendant/owner greeted me, had no shirt on, no shoes, and open cuts on his feet. This is not an acceptable, nor safe, place to stay. I highly recommend that you do not stay here, and also the Expedia remove this as an option.

Liked that it was in Hawaii. Did not get the room i booked. The "kitchen" was outside. The sink was a Laundry tub on the deck. Refrigerator/freezer couldn't keep ice cream frozen. Was not safe to put open food in. No place to eat if you dared to cook ameal.Two dead cars. Parking very limited and very steep. Needed to put rocks behind wheels for safety.

DONT BOOK! BEWARE!!!

If you're okay with huge flying cockroaches, your room smelling like puke, loud obnoxious frogs all night long, no one on property to help, and no A/C unit, then this is the place for you. I couldn't even stay one night here and they refuse to refund me. I would never even recommend this place even if they were my friends. Personally I think this place needs to be shut down. It's absolutely unacceptable and the staff isn't helpful at all since they aren't on the property. The photos don't show you what the rooms actually look like.

Bedbugs. Bites covering from lower part of my face down to my legs. Lost sleep for 2 nights; try to fix the problem after the 1st night by purchasing my own new sheets. Didn't help. 2nd night I had to sleep in my car. I had 3 more nights of stay but could not do it anymore. Asked for compensation for 3 nights so I can stay at another location. They offered an "upgrade" but just could not take the chance. 3 weeks later, I'm still waiting for a compensation. I am not holding my breath.

The pictures was really misleading and the only good thing I could say was the view from our room. Everything else was was just terrible, extra fees we had to paid, bugs in the room, coffee in a pickle jar and a coffemaker that had seen better days. We literally just sleep and shower there only because how uncomfortable we were. I dont recommend this place at all, lastly it took them a month to get my deposit back not the 3 to 7 days.

This is the worst place and owner I’ve ever seen.

Inside of room was smelling of mold, a lots of mold on cutting board, cockroaches, mosquitoes, ants......... Also, towel and bed were smeling of mold, too. A lot of mold on shower curtain and carpet, too. I really really could became sickness.. I paid cleaning fee（$118.86？). I thought for hygiene, but it wasn't...! He can buy new cutting board, carpet and shower curtain by cleaning fee！！！！！！！Why he didn't buy new one...! The owner always ask me to write good review, why he could ask me that..... He gave me fruits, but already spoiled and there were many insects....Why he could give me these fruits？ Also, he was not helpful and always excuse... I carried my heavy laggege on mudy path. I asked him, but he didn't take care of me. Also, always noisy because animals's sound. Wind were always open. No AC and noisy fun. Please don't belive his word. I shouldn't trust him. I never stay this place.

To many people in one house drive way way to small. Shared kitchen on the porch .

Too many cars in drive way always having to move cars around. Moldy bathroom. Pilly old bedding. Great view if u don’t look down at the old truck old carpet and broken washer in the drive way. Traffic to get to it was a bottle neck hwy mess. Always long to get there. Then we paid ahead and got demanded to pay extra money for cleaning . Not recommended at all. Owner sat outside and waited to get pd more. Not comfortable at all.

Schöne Aussicht, leider mit vielen Mängeln

Unser erster Eindruck war zuerst positiv. Das Grundstück liegt an einem Hang und man hat eine schöne Aussicht aufs Meer. Leider stellten wir anschliessend viele Mängel fest. - Das Zimmer war schlecht gereinigt und teilweise noch dreckig. - Blutspuren von Insekten auf dem Bett. - So etwas wie ein eingelegter Tintenfisch im Kühlschrank. - Grundstück wirkt heruntergekommen und ungenügend in Stand gehalten - Diverse Insekten wie Kakerlaken, Spinnen, Taussendfüssler und Ameisen kamen ins Zimmer. Die nicht richtig befestigten Fliegengitter bringen nichts. - Handtücher waren nicht richtig sauber, hatten teilweise Löcher und Flecken - Geschirr des vorherigen Gastes befand sich immer noch im Abtropfsieb. - Zimmer ist voll mit unnötigen Möbeln

Pictures on Expedia was misleading did not look like actual environment or living conditions . staff was nice but we were not comfortable with not being introduced to your staff on arrival not knowing who is at the door. They did not have ac which caused for windows to be open . There is a bathroom window that was open we had to put the beach towel that they gave us over the window because we are not comfortable showering directly in front of the window that has no curtains/sheer curtain causing lack of privacy.
