The hotel is about five minutes' walk, and it was not easy to find it. It is not a new, flashy, or over-friendly hotel, so it is not for those who expect a hotel-like stay. Yet I find it exceptionally comfortable, with its cleanness, spaciousness, separate bathroom, toilet, and sink. The breakfast (especially the soup) was very good. It made me feel as if I had been living in an apartment in Kanazawa. I appreciated their hidden, and quiet hospitality.

I just stayed overnight so it’s a no frills sort of older quaint hotel with key lock doors but had everything you needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was even allowed to check in an hour early. They also provided free breakfast. It is nestled in the neighborhood with narrow streets but within walking distance from the east exit of Kanazawa station.

For certain atypical visitors…

Small sparse room with too firm mattress but… good feel to this place. And, excellent breakfast. Good location Small hotel that I recommend to discreet cultural conscious travelers. By contrast am now staying at an APA Hotel that has a much fancier lobby, larger rooms, comfy beds but…they only use freakin’ paper cups in the guest rooms!! Japanese tea in a paper cup?! Totally impersonal check in service, crowded elevators, it’s perfect for unmasked gaijins. If you’re more the low key traveler I believe you will enjoy your stay at Kanazawa Station Hotel.

金沢駅から近く、立地は申し分なかったです。 4名1室で1泊しました。シングルベッドが4台あり、Nウォームの毛布もあったので寝ていても寒さは感じませんでした。バス、トイレ別なのも良かったです。アメニティが歯ブラシとカミソリなので、女性の方は化粧水等持参された方がいいかも。綿棒も剥き出しはちょっと… 部屋全体の照明がもう少し明るいと助かります。エアコンで室内が乾燥するので、冬場は加湿器を常時置いて頂けると嬉しいです。貸し出しもあるようですが、時間が遅くフロントも不在、電話するにも通話料が発生するので諦めました。ビジネスホテルと割り切れば充分かな。

最近は珍しくいつも日本人のフロント係でしたが、ほとんど不在でした。朝食プレートはとても美味しかったです。スープの説明をしてくれた外国人のスタッフが感じが良く、食器の運び方なども丁寧でした。最初部屋のドアが小さく廊下も狭いなと感じたのですが、慣れます。トイレ、洗面台が別になっており、バスも洗い場付きで便利でした。立地も裏通りで静かです。だんだんと快適さが増すので連泊におすすめです。
