"The room was nice and there was one staff member in particular that was amazing!!! They were all kind but, she was absolutely lovely! The water was never hot in the morning for our showers but, in the afternoon and evening it was. The room was kept at a very cool and comfortable temperature. I would recommend this hotel again."

"This a charming and beautiful old building. The individual rooms and common spaces are inviting, and sitting on the lanai with a view of Honolulu is wonderful! The owners provide a simple but filling breakfast and a coffee station and fridge near the sleeping quarters. All staff were welcoming and receptive to questions. If you’re looking for accommodation away from the Waikiki area, or near UH, this is a great choice. We would definitely stay here again! "

"Great rate for location. Rooms are small and a little dated but very clean. Best quiet bar in Waikiki. Drinks are hand concocted, no bar mixes in sight. Bartenders are friendly - and the morning bartender makes the best bloody mary's - that and a piece of toast will set you for the day! "

"Parking was a hassle Friday and Saturday night. Roaches and rats in the laundry rooms. I did see any in my room though. "

"The staff especially at reception were great. Loved seeing Chester every morning as we exchanged our towels. He even gave us some beach toys that were left behind. They have beach chairs you can borrow so don’t make the mistake I made and rent them. You get a few free ice cream scoops with your stay. Loved the room and we had the diamondhead view and could see the fireworks! I went with a 4 and 6 year old. Was wonderful having the kitchen and proximity to beach. 2 pools to have a great time at. "
