"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

Two layers of double-pane glass dampen the road noise to an acceptable level for us and was outweighed by the convenience of the location, so much within walking distance. Staff were eagerly helpful. "We really enjoyed our five night stay at The Gate Hotel Kyoto. The check in staff were very efficient and friendly, especially given there was a large group checking in at the same time. At first, I thought our room was a bit basic, but it was actually very nice. We were on the seventh floor with a beautiful view of the mountains. It was so nice to wake up to this each morning.
