"The staff were so pleasant to talk to and since my wife and I were not able to climb stairs, we were upgraded to a first floor room. The breakfast served every day was so delicious and ready when we were. Everything we needed was taken care of by wonderful people. Also all the attractions are within walking distance since the hotel is located downtown. I highly recommend the Melville House and we will be staying there again."

"Rooming house similar to university student rentals I have owned. Have to go upstairs & down a hallway to get a shower. Located on a busy road and the house is right up against the sidewalk. There must be bars nearby as lots of cars with loud stereos and no mufflers driving by at 1:30 am several nights in a row. Listing says they have cots available. Not so."

"This place was horrible. When we arrived the cleaning/maintenance people were outside having a screaming match. There were mouse droppings in the cabinets with the dishes. There were acorns on the couch. One of the queen size beds were broken and unable to be slept in. There was supposed to be a pull out couch which in fact was a blow up mattress.
