"Very nice hotel, nice and polite owner and staff, quiet location but town walkable distance, breakfast was very good and relaxed house with lounge and fridge, all clean too, enjoyed our stay. Car park was abit tricky too park was only small negative but i do have a large car which doesnt help but apart from this everything else was a very good stay and would return"

"Absolutely outstanding service and very comfortable room. Everything was clean, the view from the room was 180 degrees of mountains, the food was amazing. But the highlight for me was being served breakfast by the two young sons of the owners, ages maybe 10-14? They were courteous, respectful, hardworking, and did an excellent job. "We stayed the Lyndhurst for 6 nights. It is conveniently located and an easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Our room was small, but well maintained, quiet and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is on the street, but we usually were able to find a spot close by. We recommend this little gem."

"The hotel is a definite 11/10 it is stunning. The fact that it is only 2 minutes from the shops and 10 minutes walk to the lake makes it even better and the views are incredible. Breakfast was perfect as well and the staff were fantastic and so friendly and welcoming. Very highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back."

"Paul was an exceptional host to my friend and I, we had room 7 which is a twin room with beautiful Mountain View’s. It was super clean and comfy, stocked with teas, coffees, etc. The breakfast each day was superb, brilliant quality ingredients for both hot or cold choices. Excellent location walkable to Keswick town centre, Derwentwater lake, Hope park, to name a few. I would highly recommend Strathmore Guesthouse!"
