"It's a simple hotel without a lot of services, but it is clean, comfortable, and the staff is quite nice. Breakfast was very good, buffet style, with a good selection of breads, cold cuts, yogurt, and oatmeal, as well as scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon. Location is very practical, a 15 walk from the train station, 5 from lots of restaurants, and literally across the street from a shopping mall. It's also a 10 minute walk from the Phantasialand shuttle. If I return to the region I'll be booking...

"We stayed at this hotel during a two day visit to Phantasialand and chose it due to being about a quarter of the price of an onsite hotel, which also being conveniently located. The hotel itself is basic but everything you need. The room was very spacious, clean and had loads of natural light. The bathroom was very spacious with a walk in shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke great English which was helpful. It is also built into a shopping centre which is incredibly handy to have an Aldi and restaurant options nearby after a long day at the park. In terms of getting to and from Phantasialand, its incredibly easy. You walk out of the hotel, through the shopping centre and 2 minutes down the road to the bus stop which runs direct to the park. Same journey on the way back. Couldn't be easier and really took the stress out of getting to and from the park. Overall if we came back to visit Phantasialand, we would look to stay at this hotel again"

"The initial contact with reception was negative as the receptionist seemed to have an issue which he kept repeating to me in loud German. After I mentioned Expedia he ruffled through the files, found the paperwork and started speaking in English in a more normal tone. We filled out the paperwork which he provided. He later helped by arranging a taxi to take us into the old town to see the cathedral, buildings and the Rhine. Parking, room, lift and bathroom were all fine and clean. Breakfast and check out. were very good. The building is modern and in a good area of Cologne but some distance from centre."
