"The service was terrible at both Fireside and Barking Frog. We had to get our own drinks Sunday evening and breakfast the next day was a ridiculous wait for food. They said they were training. Not an excuse. The tv in room kept pixelating and the tv in the mirror didn’t work. Rooms needed updating. I’ve been a guest a few times and honestly I was embarrassed I picked this placed. Wont be coming back."

"It is a unique, historical, and beautiful hotel. It has a lot of character, located in a park, it’s got lots of nice surroundings and trails. Clean and good rooms. Well maintained. Great for a relaxing or romantic stay. Also good for conferences. We enjoyed it a lot."

"Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were deliciously comfortable. I appreciated that they had both firm and fluffy pillows and soft cotton sheets. The room was pretty. We were not bothered at all by sound from the neighborhood pub downstairs (I was worried when I saw it, but it was not a problem at all). I will definitely stay here again."

"Staff was very nice and extremely accommodating. I needed to extend my stay one more night and they made that process so easy. I also noticed they have luggage lockers you can store your stuff in if you arrive early/leave late, I didn’t use them so not sure if there’s a fee. I’ve been to Seattle a ton of times but I’ve never stayed in the Capitol Hill area, it’s a walkable neighborhood. Lots of bars/restaurants/shops in surrounding blocks. "While there are other hotels nearby, I always prefer to stay here when visiting Seattle. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to UW campus and the Link Station. It is consistently clean, has kitchen and plenty of seating areas downstairs. Breakfast is served daily. Staff are friendly and professional. If staying with a car, they have secure parking for a fee. My only issue during this past stay was the vanity sink draining ever so slowly. Hopefully, they resolved it after...
