"Possibly the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I didn’t receive the check in instructions, so on arriving had to spend around an hour trying to figure things out. There are no staff at the property and the phone number on their website is incorrect. Room had no bin, no mirror or tea & coffee facilities. This is a basic. "Clean room, staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast was delicious, although the menu wasn't offered everyday, which had alternative choices on it. We had an evening meal there, which was amazing. Drinks a bit expensive though. Rooms are spacious & clean."

"Stayed one night when attending a wedding in the castle. Can only recommend on my visit. Looked after by Cathy from arrival until breakfast next morning. Had dinner at Crown hotel a few mins from hotel and 10% discount on food was applied for hotel guests. Mind flash the key fob to let them know before the bill is on table. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast was served and tea/ coffee top ups were no trouble if asked for. Recommend the Kirkstyle if staying in the area."

Breakfast is still really good with a wide selection and freshly cooked.
