"We had a very nice stay at the resort on Phi Phi. The location is beautiful – peaceful, with an amazing beach and great views. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the island. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere around the resort was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable and the surroundings made the whole experience feel very tropical and relaxing. Overall, it was a great place to stay while visiting Phi Phi and we really enjoyed our time there."

"Room was ok. The staff were nice. They food at the restaurant was very basic and the portions were very small. Service was really slow many times waiting 20 plus minutes for the food to arrive. Restaurant area is very unattractive. This would not be such an issue if there were any other options for dinning out but you need to take a boat to town to have any other eating options and the last boat back to the resort is at 4:30 so you don't have any options but to be stuck eating at their restaurant. I'm sure that they plan it that way so everyone is stuck eating there. Food is overpriced for the portion sizes. I would not recommend staying at this location."

"The Royal Lanta is a wonderful resort with friendly staff, beautiful lush green grounds and gardens and is beachfront. The breakfast was great and served at the beachside restaurant. The location was also great and walking distance to other restaurants and the main road where there were convenient stores. The vibe was calm but lively. We really enjoyed our stay there! "

"Visiting Phi Phi Island was one of the highlights of my trip to Thailand. The scenery is incredible, especially the turquoise water and dramatic cliffs. The boat tour was so much fun, and the atmosphere is lively but still peaceful. Highly recommend!"

"First impression are everything. We had arranged a pickup when we arrived that did not transpire so we managed to find our way across to the east side of the island to the resort. When we arrived I was expecting the resort to be on the beach. It is not and with the tide out it did not present a welcome view. The sewer smell was very strong at that particular time. We found the resort was average and not the luxury property we were expecting from the description and reviews. There was really no view from our deck. Over the suites you could see the mountain tops but no ocean views. The room was just average with a very big bed that we found comfortable. The shower was good. We did not use the extra large bathtub. The pool area does not have sufficient seating for the number of guests and the lounge chairs are very dirty. Some of the guests would place their towels on the lounge chairs and then leave the area for extended periods. Other guests would arrive and not have a lounge chair to sit on because someone was reserving a chair with a towel. It was brought the the desk staff attention and I suggest they implement a policy when you left the pool area you had to take your stuff with you. They did not address the issue and the next day I witnessed two guests yelling at each other over the chairs almost getting in a fist fight. This was regular.The hotel is marketed as a luxury hotel but doesn"t offer luxury especially for the price they are charging. "
