"Mimaru Shinmachi Sanjo was perfect for our family stay! The spacious rooms were ideal for families with kids (ours are between 6 and 9), and the setup made us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond, helping with every request we had, which made our trip stress-free. Truly a wonderful experience for families visiting Kyoto. They even helped me find something on Amazon to ship to our next hotel as a surprise for our son. Great staff!"

"Yet another amazing stay at Mimaru for us! We’ve always used this chain of apartment hotel every time we go to Japan as they’ve all been excellent to stay and this Kyoto was no different! The property is more like a hotel but still has kitchen and dining table for the family room we stayed which was nice. Area around is super quiet and supermarket right next door at 30 seconds walk! Relatively close to Kyoto station to walk but bus and uber is quicker. Close to main shopping street also which...

"I mean wow! What can I say about this wonderful gem of a boutique property. Super cool retro-modern interior, great layout, textures, lighting, and furnishings. 5-star accommodations, for a 3-star price, excellent value. You also have in suite laundry machine, and well equipped kitchenette, good size fridge/ freezer. I hope this starts a trend of refurbished properties done right for todays sophisticated family traveler. Location isn't bad either, lol!"
