Well located hotel by the beach with nice resort and pool. Rooms were good - the beds were very hard/firm, but we told reception and they added a mattress topper to the bed, which made it significantly better (should have requested on first night).

Nice and close to the beach and attractions. The restaurant here was very good and very popular…stick to the Thai food :) the staff were very friendly. Would come again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It’s right on the beach and the pool is beautiful. Breakfast is excellent. Overall great value for the money. Had to move rooms at one point as they were doing renovations on the room next door but the staff helped with that and we ended up with a better room anyway. Staff were all lovely.

Great location with beautiful views right on the beach. Overall a nice place to stay. Spacious rooms. Amazing swimming pool. Quiet yet convenient to Ao Nang. The property could use some TLC to update the appearance, but overall a really nice place.

Location was amazing! Our room was beautiful with a peak of the ocean. Unfortunately our AC went out the last 2 days and it was very hot and humid. Also the beds were extremely stiff. Lastly the staff upon check in were friendly but check out was a different story. When we were trying to get a ride back to the airport no one cared to help

I chose this hotel for the location right opposite the beach which was perfect, but I was pretty underwhelmed with the room which was quite dated and dark. It was clean and comfortable, just not to my taste.

This resort has seen better days! Everything, including in the common areas, feels quite dated. Having said that, everything is kept very clean and tidy. The resort‘s biggest advantage is also is biggest disadvantage - its location directly at Ao Nang Beach. The longtail boats, taking tourists to the islands and to Railay Beach, run all day, non-stop, from 0700 until dark. They leave from Ao Nang Beach and all go by the resort - a constant stream of loud truck engines. In the resort, service was middling at best. This started even before my arrival - my contact and request to arrange pick-up and transfer from the airport was simply not responded to at all. None of the staff, including front desk, seem to understand or speak much English, which makes negotiating check-in or early check-out quite challenging. Breakfast was disappointing. There is a variety of options, but everything - including the Thai food - was bland and felt (and looked) of low quality. The free WiFi provided was terribly slow and patchy - no use for working or browsing. The pool area is small but nice, pool/beach towels are provided and can be changed as needed. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, including beach-front bars, in the vicinity, which is good.

Location 10/10 Easy to walk to the Centara hotel nearby beach Boats and boat trips are a very short walk away Hotel is practically on the beach and you can have breakfast and dinner over looking the beach Fire show at 9.30pm every night, 50 metres away outside a bar over looking the beach Rooms We were in the standard rooms - block A I believe. The rooms are the cheaper end of what was available, our room met expectations for the price. A little tired - shower over bath (I’m 6ft and just about coped, Air con was a bit noisy etc. but otherwise did its job. We found the bed firm but fine We had a lovely view over the pool. Breakfast - I spotted spider like insects in one batch of cereal on our second morning and again on the third morning when I told the staff, there were no bugs on the 4th morning. Thai breakfast options as well as cereals fruits and omlette to order available. Dinner - great choice, excellent value Fillet steak for £8-9 which was a nice change after so much Thai cuisine. When we were in Patong steaks started at £13

Very nice resort right in front of the beach and walkable from many dining options. Some cobwebs here and there. Be aware of small lizards, you may see one in your room at night but overall great stay.

The pool closed at 6, which was a let down. You have to throw your toilet paper in the trash can which was different. They only provide one key which works all electrical in the room so if you put something in the fridge it’s warm and bad if you leave the room. The AC does not stay on either, so when you’ve been at the beach all day you come back to a very hot room. The staff was amazing and the breakfast buffet was good but had limited options and a lot of bees.

This was a perfect place to take the family for a few days before we left.The beach is clean you can get amazing massages and see wild monkeys playing in the sand. The breakfast was good, great location. Amazing choices of restaurants, day trips and we were able to buy lots of gifts and get all our laundry cleaned. The only bad point was the pool closed quite early and the kids loved it.

Beautiful property steps away from the most beautiful beach! Very clean with great AC. The pool area is beautiful. Walking distance to anything you could possibly need and a short ride or bolt away from local attractions like Din Daeng Doi. Great breakfast too! Thank you Golden Beach Resort. ❤️❤️❤️
