"I would highly recommend this hotel for families who want to be a quieter neighborhood but within very close proximity and walking distance to the action of the Gion district. We normally stay at 4-5 star hotels, but seeing how most hotel rooms in Japan have a max of 3 people per room, I decided to try something different and booked an Executive Apartment which was perfect for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). "The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."
