"We had an authentic Japanese experience staying here. The location was perfect - the house was on a quiet street while still being very close to the main attractions in the Gion area. The interior was beautiful, clean and well insulated with heated floors and AC in each room. Beds were very comfortable and the upstairs living offered a lovely veiw of the Yasaka Pagoda. "Although this property was an old nice machiya they updated it with a nice bathroom. But the beds were really comfy. I didn’t care for the location because it was far from bus and train station. It’s a long hot walk with all our luggage. Overall I probably wouldn’t stay again because of location but the inn was really great. "

"Fantastic location within walking distance to the main area of Gion and streets of cherry blossoms without the crowd. The room is so spacious and great for families with a baby or toddler. Our baby was able to play in the tatami room. A cot and high chair was also provided to us free of charge. The kitchenette and washing machine / dryer enabled us to feed our baby and do our washing too without any stress.
