"All was well after we got in… a little stressed because the reception closed at 5pm and it was a last minute booking, with internet almost runnning out of juice. Beware that Maps sends you to the wrong street! But a call helped and a nice man showed up to get us in. Not enough sun beds or shade in the lower pool area but the top terrace pool was great although again not enough shade. No kids club activities even though advertised in the lifts that miniclub was at 4pm and the receptionist had no idea either where it was or if it existed!"

"Staff are excellent - couldn’t have been more helpful! Hotel is ideally located, 3 min walk to old town (uphill) and 4 mins walk to beach promenade. Very smart boutique hotel, not too busy and in a perfect location. 6 min walk to tram station with links to Alicante and Denia. Altea has lots of good restaurants and not many bars so very relaxed and safe."
