"Room was very clean and the staff was quite responsive to our questions/needs. It's an older, nostalgic, roadside inn. The motel does show it's age but served our needs for a close room to sleep in near an event we participated in. New owners are doing some work to fix it up. "

"When I booked this hotel it was an AmericInn, however when I arrived it was changed to a Quality Inn with no prior indication. I did receive calls from Windham but they never left a message to identify the change prior to my check in. The building did not have any address on it to help identify it as the hotel we needed to be at. Otherwise, it was a very clean hotel. The staff did their best with what appeared to be a new system. "Everything about this hotel was fantastic, except a couple of things. Unfortunately the pool wasn’t available for most of our stay which was disappointing. Also, the person working the cash register at the bistro was pretty rude when we corrected her on an order after she herself made two mistakes on it. Like we were inconveniencing her for her own mistake. Not the older woman. She was sweet! It was the younger woman. Christine or Christina I believe. Like, maybe quit if you hate your job so...

"Love this property for its cozy, historic ambiance and the beautiful views. The staff is wonderful and friendly. The only thing I would change is the dining options. The Rose room is wonderful for breakfast and it would be great if you could have a nice dinner there as well. The Noggin room is fun in its own way but not exactly a dining destination."

"Dinner was excellent. Continental breakfast has limited selection and does not seem to have variety from day to day. Nice options for breakfast/brunch nearby in Petoskey. Very unique property with friendly and helpful staff."
