"We were impressed by the friendliness and excellent service provided by all staff. Our room (no 6) was comfortable. Just one note of warning: the entrance way to the bathroom is VERY low; it is a safety issue calling for attention. Dinners in the restaurant were well suited to hungry walkers: we enjoyed the food; it was well prepared and presented. Breakfasts were good; a bowl of fresh fruit and a better range of cereals would have been welcome. The hotel is in a very pleasant and peaceful...

"THis is a beautiful Victorian property just up the hill out of the bustling center of Keswick - about a 15 minute walk. Lovingly family run - our hosts were charming and super helpful. Delicious breakfast, comfy beds, and a hot shower. We hope to return."

"Great base for walking in Langdale, you go straight out of the back door and up to Stickle Tarn. Excellent breakfast with good choices, a good selection for the evening meal and the Old DG hotel 15 minutes walk away if you fancy a change. Nice lounge for the wet days. 100% recommend"
