"The lodge was excellent the staff super friendly ,the breakfast was excellent the pool was perfect to relax at .The ocean walk is just moments away and the walk into Hermanus was stunning .Whales were everywhere we were there in Oct .Hermanus was a perfect coastal get away"

"Lovely quiet location with Friendly staff "

"We had a lovely two-night stay at this guesthouse. The hosts were welcoming, and the place was comfortable and relaxing. We really enjoyed our time there and would happily stay again!"

"I really liked this place - great location - perfect for exploring the town and all Hermanus has to offer! Really nice staff and great value for the type of accommodation! I really liked my room - very comfy bed and a great big shower! Good wi fi too! I'd stay again! Thank you!"

"Har inget att klaga på. Ett trevligt boende med vacker utsikt."

"Amazing view"

"Die Unterkunft befindet sich mitten in Hermanus , daher sehr gut gelegen. Etwas in die Jahre genommen jedoch sauber und sehr geräumig! In unmittelbarer Nähe alles was man braucht."

"Don't stay in room 204. Loud music and then traffic noise. Ruined our 1st night!"

"We only stayed one night and didn't spend any time at the hotel."

"Sehr nette Inhaber, haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt "

"Pre-check in comms and answering cell number after arrival were very poorly handled. Would have been better to be able to chat to someone to get the details from a human than just a board at reception when we arrived. "

"Very tidy and upmarket accommodation. Lovely room with plenty of space. Very comfortable bed and pillows. "

"Very welcoming staff -- breakfast was one of the best I've had."

"Rymligt och ljust rum med havsutsikt. Sängen var underbar. "

"Our stay at Birkenhead House was the ultimate Hermanus retreat. From the warm, attentive team to the eclectic design and breathtaking floral displays, every detail left us feeling spoiled. Ideally situated steps from the beach and scenic walking routes, it was a paradise for nature lovers—complete with dozens of whale sightings, rich birdlife, and the striking indigenous flora of the Western Cape."
