"Lovely venue, friendly staff, magnificent views. Erving menu choice limited but excellent quality. Some items have excesses that seem to cover the cost of the whole item whereas you have already paid a significant amount! 3 course nearly £60 then the cheese board is an extra £13."

"Our room was on ground floor with a hot tub. Facilities were good and the bed was very comfortable. Some elements were a little tired. Staff were outstanding and responsive to all requests and questions. Nice dining area and presentation. Great central location to Grasmere village. Our only issue is that parking can be a lottery - but staff were happy to help."

Cleaner added extra coffee and milk for 2nd night which was also a great and tidied the room to a high standard. Room was dated, however this added to the overall experience of peace and tranquilitiy which is what i was looking for. ****Highly recommend this hotel and will be visiting again ***"

All the food was excellent quality and would highly recommend going to the restaurant for dinner - the drinks were expertly served, and the food was some of the best meals we’ve ever had!
