"Quality of food served in restaurant. Expensive for highly processed portions eg frozen dipper style chips with a meal of fish and chips and my partner had the fish pie that looked and tasted like a budget frozen meal available from a supermarket. However reception and serving staff were very friendly and efficient. Bathroom needs up grading. Old style mira shower over a bath and no handrail for additional support The setting was superb. Sad that the hotel doesn’t live up to present day...

"Great check in from courteous staff we arrived early than check in time as we were attending a nearby wedding staff were helpful leaving our cases in the room and giving us a place to change . We got back just after midnight and found the room clean with a comfy bed a good night's sleep later and the breakfast was great one of the best. Well done to all and it was a pleasure to stay there "

"So, the good stuff first. Price is fantastic value. Location is ideal, just off the M74. Room was warm, quiet and clean. Bed was great. Now the real let-down. The smell of dope on the first floor would have knocked you out, despite the ‘No Smoking’ signs on all the doors. I reported it to reception. It was clear to me which was the offending room and I invited the staff to take a stroll past. Not sure if they did or not but the smell was still there the next morning when I left. You wouldn’t...
