"We spent seven full nights at Portofino and it was truly serene. Three things stood out:
1) The staff. Our servers E and A were truly amazing. Sometimes there was a language barrier, but it was more entertaining than a negative. As a US resident visiting a foreign country I don't expect our hosts to automatically speak english and it was actually more authentic to wade through some back and forth. And it wasn't a distraction at all we enjoyed the conversation. They were always checking on...

"This is our new favorite place to stay and we’ve been going to Zihua for 14years. This is not a hotel, it’s a private condo within walking distance to some of the best area restaurants. The beach is right downstairs and the views are incredible. Luis is always on time to meet us and the housekeeping staff is amazing.
