Goðafoss ('Waterfall of the Gods'), in north Iceland. This is my very favorite waterfall! And it's especially breathtaking from this viewpoint. I visited Goðafoss 3 times on that trip and this photo is from my last visit. I'm so glad I made that 3rd trip there! I didn't have much time as I had to catch the bus but I really tried to take it all in :). It really was a magic moment! And one I'll never forget. It was cold and rainy yet I felt mesmerized by the waterfall's beauty and majesty.

Godafoss in Icelandic means 'waterfall of gods'. It is closely connected to one of the most important events in Icelandic history which is the conversion to Christianity.! The view from our room was AMAZING! We stayed in the suite above the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Our room was welcoming and I loved the heated bathroom floor.

Wat een ontzettend leuk vakantiehuis. Een perfecte ligging op een mooie locatie en het mooie uitzicht voor de deur. Het huis had alles wat je nodig hebt inclusief een hottub en bbq. Vanuit deze locatie hebben we verschillende uitstapjes gedaan en alles was redelijk in de buurt.
