Lehigh Gorge State Park

This is one of my favorite hiking trails! It consists of 3 big waterfalls as you ascend to the top. Be cautious though you need real hiking boots to hike the trail. It’s extremely slippery because of the waterfalls and we went on a day where it rained so it was even worse. Most people make their way up the side of the waterfalls, which involves a lot of climbing on rocks and using your hands. It gets very crowded so we went up the "flatter" trail most people use to go down, which made for a really good work out, and started from the top waterfall and made our way down. This is not a kid friendly place. The trail is dangerous and difficult. There were warning signs everywhere saying to wear the correct shoes and that people have died here, but there were so many people there with their small children who were having lots of trouble climbing and so many people with flip flops. Also no one here had any hiking etiquette about letting others pass. Regardless, this is one of my favorite trails.
