"We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Ocean Mist. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly crew member who stored our bags while we explored. We had some fizz in our cabin which was pre-booked. Our cabin was spacious, comfortable and very thoughtfully decorated. We had everything we needed and more. The bar was fabulous and the cocktails were delicious. This was our first accommodations when we arrived and we could not ask for a better place. "Pure 5’star luxury hotel with all the amenities you would expect except chocolate at turn down."

"Like many of the hotels in the old quarter they have no parking, however for a base hotel, this is the hotel to book. Clean, modern, quiet with a good breakfast. The staff are cheery, helpful and professional. All the sights to see are within a short walk. Many restaurants close by"

"We stayed in the deluxe 2 bedroom unit and it was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms had black out curtains. I sent a message in advance asking for the beds in one of the rooms to be separated and they were each made with their own duvet and bedding, which we really appreciated (they were separated a couple of inches which was sufficient for us). "Room even nicer than expected and very comfortable, amenities appreciated, and everything you need. Washer/dryer guide is under the sink. I would recommend this to anyone. There is air conditioning in the bedroom and ample space."

"Very well located, spacious and well kept. Unfortunately they put us in a room right at the entrance of their second building in our first night. Our bed was right in front of the main door, so anyone could see us and we could hear every one that was coming in + the cleaning team at 6am next morning. Also the air conditioning was not working. Next day they moved us to a far better room that I believe should better reflect their standards. Make sure you don’t get that 1st family room!"

"Unbeatable location for a first time Edinburgh tourist. Close to everything we did for 3 days. Attentive & helpful desk staff. Lovely dining room & lounge. We had one glitch which the front desk handled perfectly. We took advantage of the pool & sauna. Rooms were contemporary but seemed a bit “tired”. I applaud they are doing an elevator upgrade. Whilst inconvenient for us being down 50% elevator capacity, it will be appreciated by future guests."
