"I have to stay in St Albans for work from time to time and Torrington Hall is my favourite place to stay. It has so much more character than some of the soulless hotels I have stayed at in the area. It is well located for the town center and the cathedral. The rooms are generally well presented although, because each is different, some are nicer than others. "Stuff lovely but in a room a lot of dust and two massive spiders. In general place is on great location and atmosphere is really nice. Only improvement I can say it needs is that rooms need to be cleaner. "

"Was attending an event at Arthur Findlay College in nearby Stansted-Mountfitchet and this place was ideal and also a great value. The innkeeper was super friendly and helpful and had a good energy. Would definitely recommend. "

"This is self check in place and I didn’t know that as on my email about check in details it was answered with guess house names. So had really big problem finding place then arrived with no code for key safe box. Place overall was mess full of cabin crew yungsters partying, fair enough they were helpful as they contacted landlord so I got a room key. I received email with check in details next day…"
