"Very friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous location easily walkable into town. Breakfast standard was exceptional. We ate in one evening and were very impressed with the menu and quality of cuisine. "Our hosts, Greg and Susan, lend a friendly dignity to this stately, we’ll-appointed manor. Breakfast was a delicious, elegantly presented option of fruit parfait and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon or a full Scottish breakfast. Our room was spacious, the bed comfortable. A 2-minute stroll through the tiered garden took us to the downtown street which offered several wonderful restaurants. We highly enjoyed our stay."

"Convenient and easy to get to. Clean and spacious room. We stayed in 11 which was so close to the car park and only had a few steps. Comfortable room, hot showers, nice big bed, delicious breakfast - try the whiskey porridge! We ate all our lunches and diners at The Auld Smiddy Inn and wish we couldn’t stayed longer!"

"Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful setting. Spacious and comfortable, with pretty views. The restaurant was amazing (vegan and gluten free options too), and the grocery store/gift shop on site was a great feature (vegan, gluten free options at the store as well).
