"This was one of the nicest and smallest Riu's we stayed. Staff: Karla, in public relations/guest services was OUTSTANDING! She made my mothers day so special and our entire week remarkable, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. All the waitstaff were good, Susana, Carolina, Marlen in Italian, Idalia in Buffet were especially great. Arturo at check-in was efficient and so helpful. Our housekeeper Mayta did a fantastic job everyday. Our room (1302) was beautiful, large and ocean front and close to the elevator just as we had requested. Had a 4 cup coffee maker and a frig restocked with beer, soda's and water every day. Food: All the restaurants were good, especially liked Italian and the Buffet. Can't go wrong at any of them. Got massages several days on the beach $50, the spa in resort was $100's, that is WAY to much! Evening Entertainment was mediocre at best, but they tried. There was always some fun entertainment during the day. The beach vendors stayed away after you told them no, so that was nice and the didn't come up to the property unless you asked them. Taxi into downtown was $17, coming back was $16. Very nice stay!"

"Overall a good resort, most staff very friendly and service was good. It’s a beautiful property and pool area and amenities were great. Loved most of the food, although had to wait for a table most nights. The 24 hour coffee/dessert bar was also a wonderful perk! I did have a couple issues during the stay: my water was off in my room for several hours and had to report it. Not sure if the cause. Also, I took the water aerobics class and the male instructor was very pushy and made us touch strangers in ways that were pretty uncomfortable. I tried to leave several times and he tried to force me to stay. I do not recommend taking this class. Lastly noise was an issue well into nighttime so sleeping was a challenge from my room. I had up use earplugs abd even then, there was noise until midnight. Other than that, I loved the shows, entertainment and live music. I would probably go again although there is definitely room for improvement! "

"Clean room, great location, excellent staff and all of the amenities you would expect from an all-inclusive resort. This place is family-friendly, which was largely unobtrusive, but that theme dominated the pool activities.Restaurants (Pancho’s, Marco Polo) provided a couple romantic evenings."

"Absolutely 5 star from check in to check out the first time. Being part of a flight crew, we came back a week later and a noticeable change compared to the first visit - lots of amenities in the room and the mini bar was kept stocked first go-around. Second visit, no bathroom amenities, tv guide wasn’t working, phone wasn’t charged, and the mini bar was never restocked. Somewhat torn on how to rate."
